I have always found drawing to be my natural discipline. In 1997 I started to draw with pen and ink until I stumbled upon artist-grade colored pencils. This discovery changed everything. Through the years of exploring this medium, I have learned so much and of course, I am still learning. I have displayed at numerous art festivals throughout the years. Lately, I have participated in and received a merit award at the Smokey Hill River Festival in Salina, Kansas. I am also displaying in the Westport Art Festival in September and Lawrence Art in the Park. I teach colored pencil techniques at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art and Centering Souls in Parkville, Missouri. At this time my work is displayed at Northland Artist Gallery in Weston and in the gift shop at AKMA. I am very active in creating and learning, spending every day in my studio drawing, setting up still lives or working on new lessons.
